Read 2021 – NEW RULES ON ENTRY TO NORTHERN CYPRUS (TRNC) – Advance Payment for Quarantine

As of 1 July 2020 the flights is resumed in Northern Cyprus

Turkish Cypriot authorities have allowed the flights to Northern Cyprus to resume as of 1 st July 2020. Now, entry into Northern Cyprus is no longer limited to TRNC citizens, holders of residence permits and students – tourist are also allowed to visit Cyprus by following certain rules. In order to prevent the spread of new cases in Northern Cyprus, the government has divided other countries into three categories– A, B and C. This categorisation is based on WHO advice and depends on the prevalence of COVID-19 epidemic in any country.

In accordance with the current rules, countries that belong to categories A and B must take two PCR COVID-19 tests.

The passenger must take the first test within the 72 hours before traveling. The test must show a negative result and it has to be shown to the authorities upon entering Northern Cyprus. The second PCR test will be taken on arrival in the TRNC and the passenger will be quarantined for 72 hours until the results of their PCR test come out.

The PCR test price in the TRNC is 300 TL.

Category C covers countries that have the highest risk of spread of COVID-19. Everyone in category C will have to be quarantined for 14-days and take PCR test at the end of this period.

A PCR test within 72 hours before traveling is not required for category C countries.

The costs of quarantine and the PCR test must be paid by the visitors. The price for quarantine facilities is currently set at 4400 TL. You cannot stay in quarantine in your own home.
